One memory remains vivid from my days as a beginning body builder. It was dual-acting hammer blow to my brain, one to confuse the most hardened of eager young muscle-seekers. In the gym one day, after a chest and back session and I picked up an old muscle magazine with the seminal Robby Robinson hitting a back double bicep on the cover. Inside was an article on how Robby ate for his contest wins back in the70’s and 80’s. Rewind back an hour and I’d just been accosted by the gym Neanderthal as I planned my diet for the week in the meticulous diary I used to keep.

Eat More Lose Weight!

I ate more than normal and lost a lot of weight!

Before that, I was turned away from the gym for being too unfit!! After the 2010 New Year celebrations when millions of us do our new year resolutions that generally revolve around losing weight or stopping smoking, I decided to take up our local gym’s offer of free membership and 12 months for the price of 9. They Turned me Away!!

I was too unfit to join a gym, apparently my blood pressure was far too high and they had genuine concerns for my health whilst exercising. If ever there was a kick up the backside, this was it and I got the message loud and clear.I need to underline that this is no sales pitch and I do not sell diet products. If I had taken a ‘before and after’ photo, it really would look like an advertisement for Simply Feel Good
